Take your choice: 62-hp Rotax 650, 78-hp Rotax 850. or 89-hp Rotax 1000R, which comes with the Can-Am Outlander 1000.  The liquid-cooled V-Twin engine has four valves per cylinder and single overhead camshafts. This is unmatched power for a true performance edge.

Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)

The Outlander comes with Tri-Mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS) for your easy steering assistance, adapting the level to the vehicle's speed. Assistance is increased to reduce steering effort at lower speeds; it's reduced to keep maximum steering feel to the rider at higher speed. Choose from three modes to match your preferences.

Outlander Max XT - A True Two Passenger Vehicle

The Outlander Max XT has all the great features of the XT, with a wheelbase that's 8" longer. It's also about 60 lbs heavier. And with the flip-up seat behind the driver, it is truly a two passenger vehicle.The Outlander 1000XT is a blast to ride!

And the longer wheel base allows the passenger to sit in front of the rear axle. for improved handling and comfort when two are riding. Plus, the stretched design improves the ride for single riders.

Dynamic Passenger Comfort  (DPC™)

DPC ergonomics means comfortable seating, cushioned ride and a passenger in optimal riding position. The seating system also allows for gradual bending of the backrest, as well as pivoting to reduce kick-back during acceleration and braking. Regressive flex and formed grooves also improve comfort, no matter how long the ride.

Passenger Handholds

Passengers will experience less impact to their  hands with the angled rear passenger handle position.  Extra comfort is added with the numerous hand positions. For one-up use, the rear seat has integrated handles that don’t limit rear rack space or prohibit single-rider comfort.

Foot Rests

Rear passengers will find a comfortable leg position wit  foot peg angles and depths that accommodate their leg length. The footrests also have a third row of foot grips to improve lateral grip.

Convertible Rack System (CRS™) w/box

The Outlander MAX is the only two-up ATV that comes standard with a Convertible Rack System (CRS) that allows you to transfor the ATV into a single-rider machine. In just seconds you eliminate the touring look and feel when riding alone. Passenger handholds are attached to the seat, so they don’t inhibit rider movement or take up rear rack space. Includes a small storage box using the LinQ system that fills the void when the passenger seat is removed. A rear optional cargo box is also available from PAC.
